NOCSAE Recertification Details & Pricing

  • Helmet Recertification: $125 per helmet
  • Pricing: for orders of 10 helmets or less
  • Large submissions: 10+ helmets — contact us before shipping
  • Return shipping: included in the continental U.S.
  • Turnaround: 3–4 weeks plus ship time (peak season up to 6 weeks)

Important Notes

  • Please fill out the form before you send your helmet(s) in.
  • Once submitted, you will receive a confirmation email.
  • If you have a Riddell Axiom or Vicis helmet, contact us BEFORE you ship.
  • We do not recertify Xenith helmets or helmets older than 10 years.
  • Decals do not need to be removed — send the helmet as-is.
  • If any parts are needed (internal padding, facemasks, etc.), that’s an additional cost, and will be added to your invoice.
  • Please remove all visors, visor clips and mouth guards before shipping. Anything left on the helmet, WILL NOT be returned.

Commitment to Safety

Our partner has a thorough reconditioning process that has been reviewed, tested, and approved by NOCSAE, plus they're an active member in good standing with NAERA.

Adherence to industry standards is a must. Every helmet undergoes an in-depth evaluation and an intense reconditioning process to ensure its strength and durability. At a high level, the process includes:

Helmets are received and inspected at our Houston facility

Helmets then get shipped to our partner company to start the process

Once received, helmets are sent to the internal NOCSAE certified testing facility for pre-reconditioning drop testing

Removal of all hardware, decals, helmet stripes and adhesive residue
5
Facemasks are removed

All parts are washed, disinfected and sanitized, or replaced if necessary

All shells are buffed and shined

A durable, high quality paint job will be applied

Proper labels are installed according to NOCSAE standard manufacturer recommendations

Helmets are reassembled

Post recertified helmets are inspected

Helmets are sent to the internal NOCSAE certified testing facility for post-recertification drop testing to ensure they're field ready and meet all NOCSAE standards

Final inspection

After Final Inspection, The Helmets Will Be

Option 1

Dropped shipped directly back to the customer.

Option 2

Shipped back to 3CC if they require aftermarket accessories (visors, flex adapters, etc.) or decals installed.
